How All Pump Solutions can help
with Sewers for Adoption
What is Sewers for Adoption?
Sewers for Adoption is to ensure that the developer builds to a required standard and quality. To achieve “adoption” of a sewage pumping station, the specification, build and installation of the system would have to be compliant with Local Water Company specifications

1. Initial consultation

We will arrange for one of our own specialist Sewers for Adoption Technical Engineers to manage your project and liaise with you on a day to day basis. We will discuss options, along with the expectations of the adopting water board in line with their addendum. We will then mutually agree next steps to progress the design of the pumping station.

2. Design

We have a first class design team headed by an accomplished Master of Product Design (BScHons) able to bring you the most advanced developments in adoptable pumping station designs. We will provide a detailed technical specification and submission for the S104 agreement to the relevant water authority for construction approval.

3. Approval

Once the design is complete, All Pump Solutions continue to liaise directly with the adopting water authority, in conjunction with the project consulting engineer to obtain approval on the pumping station.

4. Construction

Once approval is obtained, the construction phase commences and programmes are agreed. Depending on the type of pumping station and the chamber material, we will manufacture the pumping station offsite, or complete the mechanical install into PCC chambers pre-installed onsite by the contractor.

5. Commissioning

Once the chambers and pipework are installed, our dual qualified engineers attend site to commission the system. They will install the pumps into the chamber, and make the necessary electrical connections. A full system test is carried out prior to handing the system over to our client.

6. Maintenance

Generally, pumping stations won’t be adopted for a period of 12 months as they fall under the contractors’ defects liability period. Commonly, a maintenance contract will be taken out with ourselves for this initial period, and this ensures that the pumps and the system is running effectively, efficiently and fault free for this duration.

Why use All Pump Solutions?
This reduces the number of contractors involved in the design, approval, construction and handover of Adoptable pumping Stations and making it a much easier solution for our clients.
